Short Film - 01.09 Minutes - 2019

Three high school girls pass around a single found cigarette between them like a dare they can’t quite admit they want to accept. They try to convince each other to be the one who actually lights it, using jokes, hesitation, and peer pressure while none of them fully commits.

The film was made as a university assessment where the brief was to build a scene around a single object being passed between characters. In this case, the cigarette is the object that structures the scene and drives the interaction between the three characters.
